Travel Information: Departure country, destination, travel start and end dates, and number of travelers.
Payment Information: Credit card number, cardholder name, expiration date, and CVV. This data is transmitted directly to BEST MERIDIAN INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY I.I. (“BMIIC”) via a secure, SSL-encrypted tunnel and is never stored on our servers.
Technical Information: IP address, browser type and version, device information, and user agent string, collected automatically when you access the Site.
Consent Records: When you agree to our Terms and Conditions during enrollment, we record the version of the Terms you agreed to, the date and time of your agreement, your email address, and your enrollment reference ID for legal compliance purposes.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information in the following ways:
- Directly from you: When you use the quote generator, Plan Finder, or contact form, or when you communicate with us by email or phone.
- Automatically: When you visit the Site, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and device information through server logs.
- From third parties: BMIIC may share information with us in connection with the administration of your travel assistance membership.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To facilitate enrollment in travel assistance memberships issued by BMIIC.
- To communicate with you regarding your membership, including via text message, email, and phone call, which may include automated messages. Message and data rates may apply.
- To facilitate the processing of assistance requests on your behalf with BMIIC.
- To record and maintain proof of your consent to our Terms and Conditions for legal compliance.
- To improve the functionality, performance, and content of the Site.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests from public authorities.
5. Information Sharing
We share your information with the following parties and for the following purposes:
BMIIC (Travel Assist Provider): We share your personal information, travel information, and payment information with BMIIC to process your enrollment, administer your membership, and facilitate assistance requests. As described in our Terms and Conditions, you authorize TripKavach, BMIIC, and any authorized partners to release and exchange information necessary to fulfill membership purposes, including medical records, hospital records, membership records, treatment history, and related documentation.
Service Providers: We use third-party service providers for website hosting (Vercel Inc.), database services (Supabase Inc.), and related infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Payment card data is transmitted through a secure, SSL-encrypted tunnel directly to BMIIC and is never stored on our servers. Consent records and other data stored in our database are encrypted at rest.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for the following periods:
- Consent records: Retained indefinitely for legal audit and compliance purposes.
- Membership-related data: Retained for the duration of your membership and any period required by applicable law or contractual obligation.
- Contact form submissions: Retained for up to two (2) years from the date of submission.
- Technical logs: Retained for up to ninety (90) days.
8. Cookies and Third-Party Services
The Site does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics trackers. Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) may set minimal technical cookies strictly necessary to deliver the Site. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information.

TripKavach is operated from the United States.
